Senior Walk
We will be having a "Senior Walk" for the Class of 2025 on Wednesday, May 28th. The goal is for Seniors (while wearing their caps and gowns) to visit their former schools, high five the students, teachers, and parents. This is also a great way for our seniors to lead by inspiring the younger students to be their personal best and excel in education. Students will be bused to the schools below.
The Senior Walk will take place after the Graduation Rehearsal on Wednesday, May 28th (all times are approximate):
12:35 pm: Students begin ceremony rehearsal in the Main HS gym
1:15 pm: All students will load buses to visit MMS
1:25 pm Arrive at MMS, do the walk-thru
1:40 pm: Students will board buses to go to either Greenwood, Rocky Branch, Westside, Montessori, and St. Bridget’s/Montessori, do walk-thru
2:20 pm: Load buses to return to HS for HS walk-through with band and class picture
**We encourage parents to welcome the graduates back to their respective schools by cheering outside the school main offices on the sidewalks. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to relive childhood memories and connect with students and staff, while showing our graduates how proud we are of their achievements.

What are the dress expectations?
High School Graduation is a formal ceremony, one that is accompanied by dignity, decorum, and appropriate attire. To that end, students are also reminded the ONLY decoration allowed on the graduation cap and gown is the cord; no pins, no corsages, no flair, etc. Also, there are no decorations allowed on caps - NO PINS.
What time do the doors open?
Doors (only the front Commons doors will be unlocked) will open at 12 noon. There will be ample seating in the gymnasium.
Do I need to have tickets?
A strict limit of 7 (seven) tickets will be issued to each student/family at graduation practice, in envelopes, on the students chairs in the gym. Even if more than one senior within the same family (twins, triplets, etc.) is graduating, you will still receive ONLY 7 tickets. Although graduation practice is mandatory for all seniors walking in the ceremony, any seniors who miss the practice will pick up their graduation tickets in the RFHS Main Office. The ceremony will be live-streamed via YouTube and the link will be emailed closer to the graduation date.
Will there be special access/seating for family members that need it?
There is an elevator available next to the commons/auditorium doors which can be used to be able to get to the lower level gymnasium for families that need it. There is seating available on the floor behind the graduates. Seating is on a first come-first served basis.
When does my graduate need to be at school?
We ask that graduates be here no later than 12:30 p.m. so that we can begin the program on time. The ceremony begins at 1:00 in the gym, and will last approximately an hour and a half. At the conclusion of the ceremony graduates will be directed into the Commons area, and outside, for you to greet and congratulate them and take pictures.
Where can I park?
We encourage carpooling as much as possible. Graduates should park in the student lots on the east side of the building or the staff lot on the west side of the building. Students will enter through the band door entrance. The front of the building may be used to drop off guests, but leave these parking spots for grandparents and those with disability parking stickers.
Will a professional photographer be taking photos?
Yes, Kemmetmueller Photography will be taking photos of your student receiving their diploma. A small proof and an order form will be emailed to you. There is no obligation to purchase any of the photographs. Parents and others taking photographs are asked to please respect the boundaries set up in the aisles and the walkway so as not to interfere with the ceremony.

What is ACP?
Academic and Career Planning, or ACP, is a student-driven, adult-supported process in which students create and cultivate their own unique and information-based visions for post-secondary success, obtained through self-exploration, career exploration, and the development of career management and planning skills.
It is part of DPI's overall vision for every student to graduate high school and be college and career ready. That means students must be competent both socially and emotionally. We want our students to be strong critical thinkers, collaborate and solve real-world problems, and persevere when things aren't quite going their way.
When put together, it's about making them productive adults with satisfying careers.

The purpose of the River Falls Laude System is to encourage and recognize graduates for completion of challenging coursework and prepare for future success.
The School District of River Falls does not recognize valedictorian or salutatorian. Instead, students will earn a certain recognition level through a point total accrued in their academic career.
Laude scores will be calculated after Term 3 of students' Senior Year. A cumulative GPA of 3.3 is required to be eligible for Laude Recognition.
