If you are a family that has utilized child care assistance in the past or feel you may need assistance, please contact the Kids Club office at 715-425-0799 to make payment arrangements.
We don’t use badges for the summer program. Keep your badge if returning for fall. If you have a 6th grade student, you may turn in your badges at any KC site.
If you have any concerns regarding your child’s behavior or your child has a behavioral IEP, please communicate them at the time of registration.
Behavioral concerns that should be communicated are: Kicking, hitting, biting, scratching, or other harmful behaviors: Inability to recognize the need to use the bathroom/frequent accidents, frequent and/or violent tantrums, inability to control strong emotions/fight or flight instinct, any behaviors that may affect the student during Kids Club hours or require medication.
If your child displays any of the above behaviors, he or she may be asked to “take a break” and/or refrain from participating in the next activity.
Our staff will always make an effort to privately communicate with you regarding behavioral concerns while at Kids Club.
Our goal is to work as a team to help each student be able to advocate for themselves, ask for help in a situation if needed and to learn the tools to self-regulate and problem solve.
If the behavior continues and/or escalates or for repeated behaviors, you will be notified by staff that a behavior plan is being considered for your child.
A site manager or the Kids Club Coordinator will contact you to discuss further actions and to consider your input and discuss implementation of a plan.
We reserve the right to hold a student back from an activity or field trip due to behavior.
If we can not trust them to be respectful and safe on-site, then we will not take them off site.
You will be notified before holding a child back from an activity.
If a student receives 3 written behavior reports, they will receive a one day suspension from the program.
We try to give parents 24 hours to come up with alternative care.
If behavior continues after the suspension, there will be a conversation about whether Kids Club is the best option for the child.
Please have a conversation with your child about respecting Summer Kids Club staff.
Kids Club teachers are working hard to keep all students safe and supplying fun activities/crafts for the students to participate in.
Billing/Fees and Account Information
There is a $35.00 non-refundable registration fee per student.
When you register your child, you are agreeing to a contract for childcare with Kids Club.
You will be billed according to the dates you have selected for each summer week.
If your child has a dual household, you will be billed as two households. Both must register for a minimum 16 days.
Families who withdraw their child’s contract after May 15th through June 15th will be charged $100 plus a non refundable registration fee.
If the contract is withdrawn during summer program weeks, families will be charged for a minimum of 16 days of attendance.
Statements will be processed on Tuesdays and are due the following Monday, however, you can go online and check your balance at any time.
Payment for tuition is due weekly and must be paid in full by the due date. A $5.00 late fee will be assessed if your bill is not paid in full by the due date.
Pre-payment is always acceptable.
Unpaid balances are subject to suspended attendance.
Payments can be made online or at the program.
Absences: If your child is absent, please notify Summer Kids Club by email or phone.
Questions regarding bills may be directed to Deb Sorenson at the main office, 715-425-0799, work cell 715-307-1381, or deb.sorenson@rfsd.k12.wi.us
Breakfast – Lunch – Snack
Cold breakfast items (cereal, yogurt, nutri-grain bars, string cheese, milk and juice) and an afternoon snack will be provided daily and are included in your contract.
Breakfast will be offered between 7:30 am – 9:00 am.
Your child may bring a breakfast from home to eat during breakfast time.
Staff will come to classrooms and pick up students for breakfast every 10-15 minutes during breakfast time.
A cold lunch must be brought to Kids Club & Opti-Club every day.
Coolers are available to store lunches in. Try to keep the lunch box a standard size.
We have to fit the lunch boxes in coolers under the buses. If a meal is provided as part of the field trip i.e. Chuck E. Cheese or Grand Slam, your child may bring their own lunch to eat as their main lunch or in addition to the lunch served.
We will not bring coolers on these field trips and your child will carry their lunch bag.
If asked to bring a disposable lunch on a field trip, this means all items will be thrown away after lunch.
This is rare, but does happen if we are not allowed to bring our coolers or they do not have an area to store lunch boxes.
Summer School students will eat their lunch at the HS.
Students will put their lunches in bins near the summer school sign-in table.
We have lunchables that are available for $6 if there is a forgotten lunch, but we only send 2 per field trip and a limited number on site.
These are for forgotten lunches only.
Please ask your child if they have their lunch at morning drop off.
**Please let staff know of any food restrictions or allergies other than what is noted on the registration form**

We have site managers who attend all field trips.
We will attempt to go on all field trips unless the facility we are going to cancels on account of weather. If this happens or we feel that the weather threat is too great, we will make every attempt to schedule a backup field trip. We will send out a text to notify parents of any changes. If we are unable to reschedule a field trip day and you selected a field trip only schedule, your child may still attend Kids Club that day.
Extra spending money will only be allowed for children in the 4th – 6th grade age groups. Students are responsible for their own spending money.
All students are required to wear a Kids Club shirt while attending field trips.
Due to the new red shirt color added last year, blue or red shirts may be worn on non water field trips.
Red shirts must be worn in the water on water field trips and pool days for grades K-3rd
Red shirts are strongly encouraged at all times, but must be worn water field trips for 4th-6th when noted ie. Bunker Beach

Kindergarten Registrations
We normally enroll 2 classrooms of students in our K grade level.
Must be registered for full time all 8 weeks.
Full time meaning 4-5 days of each week.
This is due to the active and daily changing activities that make up the summer program.
We have found that the routine is necessary for success.
We give Kindergarten families the opportunity to take 1 week of vacation for no charge during the 8 week program.
Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2026 Students must be toilet trained.
This is very important as we are off site often, some of our bus rides are an hour in length and our schedule is often very tight so extra time for toileting can be a challenge.
If they have a sibling returning to kids club Kids Club, registration opens March 1st-7th.
We accept returning students with siblings first and then by registration date and time.
Kindergarten fills up fast so register as early as possible.
If spots remain after March 7th, registration opens for new families, families of returners who did not register early, families who have 1 parent in the district and share child care responsibilities and open enrolled families.
All schedule changes/requests need to be made in your account at rfsd.ce.eleyo.com New!!!!
You will have a 21 day window prior to the day you would like to add or delete from your child’s schedule to make that change and avoid being charged for the day.
With less than 21 days' notice, you will not be allowed to drop days from your schedule and will be charged for the day whether your child attends or not.
All dates wanting to be added after the 21 day window has passed must be approved.
You must contact Deb at deb.sorenson@rfsd.k12.wi.us to have the days added, approved and may be charged a 1 day rate.
We need to effectively schedule staff and have accurate numbers for off-site activities and trips in which attendance numbers and or payments are required in advance.
All contracts will be charged the 16 minimum days whether those days are attended or not.
We do not allow swapping of days.

Kids Club does not offer transportation to activities off site of the high school except for Summer School offered by RFSD.
Kids Club students will not be able to stay back at KC during non-summer school weeks. (Due to the difficulty of hiring part time employees, KC can not staff for stayback students after summer school ends)

If our staff have to spend time locating your student because they were picked up early or not dropped off at Kids Club as scheduled, your account will be charged a $10.00 finders fee.*
Swimming & Water Related Field Trips
Red shirts must be worn on water park field trips. Red or blue shirts can be worn on non-pool field trips.
Kindergarten through 3rd grade must wear their swim shirts at ALL waterparks and local pools during the week.
Wearing swim shirts at pools and waterparks will be strongly encouraged for the 4th-Opti.
They must wear them on required field trips ie Bunker Beach Plan to have your student bring their swim suit, towel, socks and tennis shoes/shoes with an enclosed toe/heel (for longer walks) Monday-Friday since we do a lot of water play even when we are not at the pools and in case of an outing change due to weather.
Kids Club does have a limited supply of swimsuits and towels if your child forgets to bring one, but we do not have enough for every child who forgot one.
We are always looking for more if you would like to donate them to KC. Shorts and t-shirts are welcome also.
Kids Club provides sunscreen lotion. If your child requires special sunscreen, please label it with their name and grade and give it to your child’s teacher.
We apply sunscreen before we leave Kids Club to go to an outside activity and every hour when outside.
We do everything in our power to try and prevent sunburn, but it can happen due to the amount of time spent outside and oftentimes at a water activity, sunburn can happen especially early in the summer when they may be out in the sun more than at home.
If your child burns easily, please have them wear as much protective clothing as possible such as a hat and a long sleeve shirt under the KC shirt.
It is important to talk to your student about the necessity of sunscreen as a preventative to burns.
Please let us know if your child burns easily or is prone to sunburn.
Provide a waterproof lotion sunscreen vs. spray sunscreen.
Apply sunscreen before your student is dropped off at Kids Club to allow sunscreen to soak in.
Technology/Toys, Valuables and Lost and Found /Items
Please send your child with all of their belongings in a backpack or bag.
All valuables will need to be left at home.
Do not send stuffed animals, trading cards or other toys unless they are part of the classroom’s schedule.
We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Cell phones, smart watches and other electronics are not allowed at Kids Club unless your child’s classroom has established Tech Time.
If a cell phone or smartwatch becomes a distraction and is being used at non Tech Time, your child will be asked to leave it at home.
Students will be able to contact parents using Kids Club cell/office phone if needed.
Please be sure to check the lost and found regularly.
Items not claimed within two weeks after the program ends will be discarded or donated.
Weekly Age-Group Schedule
Each age-group will have a different schedule or calendar to follow. Kids Club uses River Falls School District buses to visit local parks, the library, playgrounds and weekly pool/splash pad visits.
Please look at the calendar that corresponds with the grade your child will be entering Fall of 2026.
Please have your child come prepared each day for activities on the age-group calendar.
We ask that students come ½ hour prior to the scheduled departure time on their activity calendar.
We will not always be able to accommodate taking a child to meet their class at a park, playground or field trip.
This will allow time for teachers to get an accurate student count and for students to be ready to leave at the departure time.
Opti Club is the name given to our 5th graders and 6th grade group
