Your child’s grade level calendar will list the field trip site for each field trip along with the departure/arrival time.  This is the same for weekly local parks.  Please make sure your child is at KC at least ½  before the departure time on the calendar.

This is a master list so we may not be going on all of the following trips, but they may be used if we need to replace a canceled trip.  

Action City Fun Center    (*10.00 fee)                                                                        

Another student and staff favorite, this fun filled field trip features a large arcade, batting cages, go karts, mini golf, a climbing wall, mini bowling, bumper cars, laser tag, laser maze and beam buster challenge.  There is something for everyone! 

Action City Trampoline Park  (*10.00 fee)

These exciting trampoline park activities include an open jump court, trampoline dodgeball, 3 ninja warrior courses, airbag “stunt” jump, slam dunk basketball, jousting, fidget ladder, slackline, and an indoor playground.  This was a new student favorite from last year! Please sign the waiver and bring to summer Kids Club or email to summer.kidsclub@rfsd.k12.wi.us  Make sure to have socks!!

Apple Valley Water Park                                                                       

This fun-in-the-sun water park has inner-tube slides, a lazy river, lap-swimming lanes, a diving board and a water playground. There is a sand play area, volleyball courts and canopied picnic areas also for us to enjoy.

Around The Town 

We will be enjoying our local parks and staying closer to home. A day to relax a little since we will have 3 more exciting, fun filled field trips this week.  A picnic lunch and enjoying playing on the playground, group games, and hiking will fill up our day!


Battle Creek Waterworks Water Park                    

This water park is geared towards younger students, making it a great trip for our K-1’s.  Its features include a shallow zero-depth entry pool with interactive play equipment and a separate activity pool with lily pad walk, swim area and a three story twisting water slide.

Big Air Burnsville (*10.00 fee)

Big Air offers high-flying fun for the whole family where you can literally bounce off the walls! We have trampoline dodgeball courts, slam dunk courts, ninja-warrior courses, launch pads, freestyle courts, orbit & more! Make sure to have socks! 


Bruce The Bug Guy/Bug Zone

This program features a dynamic blend of Show ‘n Tell, storytelling, interesting facts and fun hands-on activities, including LIVE critters from the arthropod zoo.


Bunker Beach  

Bunker Beach now sports 6 towering waterslides, a 900 ft lazy river, a leisure pool with a climbing wall, a zero entry pool with water play structures, a creative play sand area, and Minnesota’s largest wave pool.  Fun in the sun for everyone!


Carpenter Nature Center 

We will be doing programming with the nature center for some outdoor activities.

Cascade Bay Water Park 

Cascade Bay is the summer place to meet up and stay cool!  Plunge into the large leisure pool for a refreshing dip, climb on the water play structures for some sliding fun, choose a tube and glide along the lazy river or test one of the seven waterslides. Take a break from the water to play a round of mini-golf on the Captain’s Course. Put your toes in the sand at Sandpiper Beach.

Chippewa Valley Logging Museum

Explore the lives of the lumberjacks in their own words in this authentic 1890s logging camp reproduction. Learn about the industry that put Northern Wisconsin on the map, the men who lived in the camps, and the trees that built cities all across the country.

Chuck E Cheese

The students will have two hours at the Chuck E Cheese in Woodbury.  They will get 2 slices of pizza (choice of cheese or pepperoni) and a fountain drink.  They can also bring their own lunch in a disposable bag if you would like.  We do not bring coolers on this field trip. We also order gluten free pizza.  They will also get a card for 1 hour of unlimited play in the arcade area.

Como Zoo                                                                  

Students will learn about animals in their environments while creating a connection with the animals, plants, and gardens. The mission statement of Como Park Zoo is “To inspire our public to value the presence of living things in our lives.”  Students will learn about animals in their habitats as well as how to keep their world safe environmentally.  


Crayola Experience at MOA  (*5.00 fee)

Discover the magic of color at Crayola Experience! Bursting with more than 20 hands-on activities.


Crystal Cave

Discover the wonders of Crystal Cave on our one-hour tour. This guided walking tour is great for all ages. Explore the passages more than 7 stories below ground. Learn about the history and geology of Wisconsin’s longest cave!  We will also enjoy gem panning and mini golf while we’re there!


Eagle Eye Farm 

This is a local educational farm that our students will be touring.  They will be able to meet and pet most of the animals.  They have sheep, llamas, pigs, miniature cows and chickens.  The students really enjoyed this last couple of years.  This will be one trip that summer school students will be able to go to as we have several bus runs with small groups


Eagles Nest

The Eagles Nest Indoor Playground is an awesome structure packed full of fun activities to engage the whole family! Includes: 23-foot-high Web Tower Challenge, 36-foot-long Quadruple Wave Slide, Tightrope Walk, 14-foot Trolley Challenge and Hanging Foam Forest, Interactive projector slide and One-of-a-kind Eagles Nest and Tree Climb

Eau Claire Children's Museum

Our museum is dedicated to providing children with interactive exhibits that foster social and academic growth while ensuring a fun and engaging experience.Edinborough Park 

The "Peak" is a 44-by-44-by-37 foot high climbing, low crawling, slip sliding Northwoods adventure.  Climb into the 30-foot tall oak tree, slide down one of the four giant tube slides or wash down the triple wave slide. Navigate across a canyon, scale the climbing wall and venture to the 30 foot lookout to spy around the Park. From the lookout, slide down the new slide for lots of fun!  The Great Hall is a 60-by-90 foot multipurpose space that you will not want to miss. This large play area can accommodate even the most energetic child. Kids will love to bounce in our large moonwalk, ride scooters and play with hula-hoops, balls and other Park-provided equipment.  Make sure to have socks!!

Edina Aquatic Center (K-2nd)

Lil' Lagoon - Water Playground. Our new water playground is dedicated to families with children ages 8 and younger. Fenced off from the rest of the attractions, this pirate-themed play structure provides a refreshing way to cool off and a space for adults to stay close and interact with their younger children.  Features of the new water playground include dynamic water-in-motion amenities such as slides, sprayers and a tipping bucket as well as gentle areas for toddlers.

Edina Water Park (3rd-7th)

Ahoy matey! A new water park for Kids Club to explore with an Olympic-sized pool, pirate-themed slides and splash pad, a zip line and a playground.  All hands on deck for this new adventure!


Elm Creek Park                                                       

Remember the fun of playing on a playground? Climbing, sliding, swinging higher and higher. Three Rivers has multiple areas designed for varying ages and abilities where toddlers to teens can let their imagination run wild. Monkey business never sounded so fun. 


Falls Movie Theatre 

Come join us at our local theater for a current kids movie.  A popcorn and drink will be provided at the concessions by Kids Club to enjoy while watching the movie.  The summer school will attend the movie at 1:00.


Fawn Doe Rosa Wildlife Educational Center 

This fun animal park is located in St. Croix Falls.  We will eat lunch next to a scenic pond with ducks and geese swimming while deer wander around it.   Students will take a guided tour of all of the animals while learning about many of them.  They will be able to pet and feed many of the animals.  KC is purchasing 1 bag of feed per child. 

4 Treasures Adventure Park

Our adventure park is designed to ignite your child's imagination and provide hours of fun in a safe, engaging environment. With a variety of activities to suit children 0-12 years old, our play areas feature soft play structures, imaginative play, ninja course, interactive games, slides, and more. The space is carefully laid out to ensure plenty of room for active play while maintaining a safe, supervised atmosphere. Make sure to have socks!!


Grandview Park 

A fun park with a large playground and play structure for the students to play on.  We will play and eat lunch and enjoy a great time at the park.


Grand Slam Sports

An indoor sport themed park.  They will be doing batting cages, mini golf, arcade card and crazy cars.  The trip includes a hot dog and a drink.  

Hastings Water Park 

Featuring a zero-depth entry, 201-foot water slide, drop slide, log crossing, rock wall, play structure and more, the HFAC offers fun and safe activities for the whole family. This grade will be staying in the water play area.


Highland Park Aquatic Center                             

Highland Park Aquatic Center offers a two-story water slide, children's activity pool with age-appropriate features and prehistoric whale bone splash pad.  Let’s go have some fun in the sun! 


Hudson GNG 

Is an indoor play space located in Hudson, WI.  The children play in an open jungle gym indoor gym space.


Hudson Movie Theater  

We may go here is we are unable to go to the Falls Theater


Hyland Park Play Area

The huge, award-winning creative play area at Hyland has something for the young and the young-of-heart. The structure includes platforms, hexagonal climbers and slides up to 50 feet long. There is also a section designed just for children under five or those with disabilities. Climb, swing, hang, and slide to your heart's content!

Kids Empire

Large indoor play space. Make sure to have socks!!

K.U.B.E

Indoor Playground Indoor Playground is an accessible play area designed to bring the outdoors indoors. With an array of ramps, slides, climbing towers, playhouses and other structures. The K.U.B.E. also features a 28-foot-tall tower with netting and a spiral slide, activity spinners, basket swing, rock climbing wall and several interactive gaming areas. Make sure to have socks!! 


Lake Elmo Park Reserve

There are several play areas located throughout Lake Elmo Park Reserve. The largest "destination" play area is actually four separate play areas installed in one general location. There are slides, swings, tunnels, and more.  We will ONLY be on the play areas while at Lake Elmo.


Minnesota Children's Museum 

Students will enjoy hours of supervised free play at the museum's levels of activities.  


Minnesota History Center  

Field trips to the History Center give your students access to all of our interactive exhibits, including special exhibits, Then Now Wow, Minnesota's Greatest Generation, Open House, and Weather Permitting.


Minnesota Science Museum

We are hoping to attend an Omni movie as well as see the exhibits.  They are not scheduling for summer yet, but we are in the queue for when the do and we will add more information.


Minnesota Zoo 

Students will take to the trails to view all of the indoor and outdoor animals that the MN has to offer.  They will get to pet some nurse sharks in the Discovery Bay tidal pool.


Museum of Illusions-MOA

Enter the fascinating world of illusions where nothing is ever quite as it seems. Visit us at the Museum of Illusions Mall of America and experience the unbelievable!


Park Grove Bowling/Woodridge Park   

It’s easy to enjoy good times at Park Grove Bowl with the whole family! Just kick-back and have a ball with: 24 synthetic lanes; automatic scoring and bumpers, and glow-and-bowl.  Another large, new inclusive playground, Woodridge Playground offers many different structures and activities to keep us busy!  A picnic lunch and lots of time to enjoy this playground is a wonderful way to enjoy another Kids Club summer!


Pump it up

FUN: Our indoor playground, jam-packed with awesome inflatables, is a fun place for kids.


Raptor Center

Our presentation-style program lasts about 50 minutes and features three raptors (typically an owl, a hawk, and/or a falcon, a bald eagle Our presenter handles and presents each bird one by one, during which you'll learn what makes these birds unique  


Red Wing Water Park and Colvill Park                      

A summer time favorite, this water park features a large zero-depth entry pool, body slide, tube slide, water play equipment, and a large green space with a sand pit area. Colvill park is home to a gigantic play area called Universal Playground.  Built in 2009, it welcomes children of all abilities.  


St. Croix Lanes

Bowling lanes located in River Falls.  Lights, music, bumpers make a fun day for all.


Sea Life at MOA

SEA LIFE brings you closer than ever to thousands of sea creatures including sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, jellyfish, seahorses + more! Explore 1.3 million gallons of awesome and immerse yourself into an underwater world traveling inside the 300 foot long ocean tunnel. Brave the rainforest with crocodiles and tarantula, stare down giant sharks and 14 foot long sawfish in Shark Cove + be mesmerized by majestic stingrays in Ray Lagoon. From sticky anemone to rescued sea turtles, an ocean of discovery awaits!

 Slick City Action Park ($10.00)

Excitement reaches new heights with our thrilling and unique attractions! Prepare for an exhilarating ride down our massive dry slides! Feel the rush of wind as you zoom down, enjoying a safe and thrilling descent that’s fun for all ages. While our giant dry slides are a highlight, Slick City Maple Grove/Woodbury, MN offers a variety of other attractions to ensure a full day of action for everyone. Make sure to have socks!! 


Stages Theater 

This summer Kids Club will enjoy the theatrical production.  We will add once we know the production.

Sky Zone  (*10.00 fee)

Sky Zone is the original and premier indoor trampoline park. Enjoy freestyle jumping, trampoline dodgeball,  basketball dunking, and have a soft landing in the foam pit!


Sustainable Safari 

The presenter will bring 5-6 animals for each show. The show includes learning opportunities about natural history, sustainable practices, team building, and networking. The energetic and hands-on approach to each lesson will create memories attendees will never forget.


Tamarack Nature Center                                                            

We will have a 2 group rotation. One group will participate in this summer’s theme.  The second group will explore Discovery Hollow. Play, dig, plant, learn, create and explore Ramsey County’s best nature play area! Conveniently located in Tamarack Nature Center’s backyard, Discovery Hollow lets you run wild in nature!

Play elements include:  The Wood: Build a tree fort!
The Overlook: Climb the cliffs.
The Stream: Make a dam and learn how water flows.
The Garden: Help grow plants, pull weeds and water.
The Mud Table: Play in the mud!
The Hobbit House: Crawl in and over the house like a hobbit!

Target Field

Kids Tour of the ballpark, with many educational and fun facts about the Twins and the ballpark are included throughout the tour. We also focus on our Environmental and Sustainability efforts around the ballpark.


Wakanda Park (Menomonie)   

We start the day at Wakonda Park playing, eating lunch and visiting the animals at the Lions Club Game Park.  This park features a variety of game animals, including elk, deer, and bison, as well as a 20-30 minute self guided tour through the park.  The park is annually maintained by the Menomonie Lions’ and we would encourage you to come enjoy a nice walk through the trees and get a close-up look at some of these interesting animals!   


Weekly parks/pools/library/School Forest/ River Falls Grow to Share community Garden

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays classes go to area parks and pools.  They will have a library day.  More information on this will be sent out later.  They include Hoffman Park, Glen Park/Pool/Splash Pad, Ellsworth Pool, area elementary schools, DeSanctis Park, Glover Park, and School District Forrest.  The classroom teachers will let you know which park or pool their class will be going to regularly or for that day.  

We may also visit the school forest for nature hikes.

4th grade on Wednesday mornings go to the Grow to Share Community Garden to help pick produce, have a garden or nature lesson or an activity. 


Willow River State Park 

Students will be heading to the park for the day to hit the trails, play in the sand and on the equipment.  We will NOT be swimming today.
